  1. 1st camping experience… stayed at campsite 19
Very calm place right next to the river… u can hear the river all time… trails are little long so be prepared… pit toilets not very clean… if u planning to go there bring a bucket for sure… coz they only have taps that says cant wash there so u can bring water from taps to wash urself or dishes or whatever u wanna wash…

  2. This is my all-time favorite campground. It’s national forest camping, so your really camping. The river has a nice swimming hole. Best highlights are it’s not too far from Lincoln for supplies and attractions. Hiking is all around. Lincoln woods trailhead is just a walk away. Just a very convenient campground and family favorite! I come here on a yearly basis and hope that it continues to stay the same exact way that it is and not get built up or modernized. It is a first come first serve campground and that should never change either.

  3. Really great access to all things White Mountains. Campsites were well maintained. The camp host was really friendly and had bundles of firewood for sale ($7). Easy access to the river which was flowing well even in mid-summer. Seemed like a bit of a party crowd with people driving around after dark, especially on Friday night.

  4. This is our favorite camping spot. The price is reasonable. They have flushable toilets and sink. Plus multiple hole in the ground toilets. The river is close by and has s natural swimming hole. If the river is up then it also has a few spots where you can slide through the rocks, like a slide. It is a first come first serve campground. On occasion it has been full and we had to travel down the kangemagus highway to find a different spot.
