  1. I would say 3-1/2 or 4. Great signage and lodge but the rest is just ok. Was expecting greater. Roads are dirt, sites are not private and you pay to use the showers. Plenty to do for families but we wanted a quiet place to stay and this really wasn’t it. It’s just the way we like to camp. Rates are a little high but for what you get I guess it competes with the others. We will not return again, no hard feelings.

  2. This is a popular place for a reason. Good family campground with plenty of activities for children and adults. Residing right on the Saco is nice as you can hop in the river for a quick cool off or a great way to wake up! The sites themselves are above average considering that it is a popular family campground. There are enough trees to feel that you are sharing space with a few other neighbors, but not the the rest of the campground. Each site has water and electric. There is a country general store at the entrance, and you are a manageable drive from both the remoteness of the White Mountains to the west and north and the family friendly manifestations of the North Conway outdoor activities industrial complex to the east and south.

  3. Great place for camping. Right on the Saco River and a friendly community with a game room, tennis courts, a basketball court, a playground and lots of field space.

  4. Clean bathrooms. Excellent facilities in this huge campground. Plenty of spots in wooded areas, some are right on the river. A decent office shop with all the basics you might need if you forgot anything. Friendly staff!
