  1. This place was great! Highly recommend it. They had a convince store & 2 pools. The lake was wonderful and you could camp in your RV or rent a cabin or just pitch a tent. The bathrooms were clean and they had showers that you could use for a very small price. Everything was kept clean & was will looked after. Down on the lake you could go swimming, rent a paddle boat, kayak or a paddle board all very affordable prices.

  2. Great campground, we really enjoyed the family atmosphere. It was a peaceful location right on Ossippie Lake, you can rent kayaks, paddle boards or just go swimming. Pet friendly, just bring you rabies vaccine paperwork.

  3. TENT camping: This is quite the resort for people who like a full service camping experience. We always camp with a tent and cook over the fire pit. Though we have a lot of stuff we don’t use electricity or depend on running water. This campground offers electricity and water at every site so most people – even tent campers – bring mini fridges and coffee machines, propane stoves, grills and lots of equipment to make the experience easier. For us it’s all about the fire pit and making do with what nature provides us (plus a few bundles of wood per day). Even though it’s not a perfect fit for our style of camping we still had a great time.

We asked for a quiet, wooded site and it was pretty awesome except for one fatal flaw. It was next to a running stream and completely shaded and at a dead end road so we had a lot of privacy and beauty. The awful thing was that our site was basically a double site and so we were within ten feet of another set of campers. It was kinda astounding that we weren’t warned about this when we booked months ago. I don’t need complete isolation but would like to have conversations without everything I say being heard by a complete stranger. I would definitely ask about this when booking. I have camped at many great places and this site C4 / C3 would definitely be considered a group site for two families at most facilities.

The pool was awesome – clean and spacious and the lake was a close walk and had boat rentals available. Most people seem to have golf carts so we felt a little odd walking everywhere but it’s fine if you’re situated close to the pool and lake like we were. Bring some bikes if you have them.

  4. Lots to do! Clean bathrooms. Friendly staff, and pleasing area! We enjoyed our first visit and we instead to be back!

  5. Stayed at Danforth Bay a couple times now. Great views, people and campsites. Located right on a lake so if you’re lucky enough to get a waterview, nothing compares. Open fairly late in the season too so that’s nice. Can’t recommend this place enough.
