  1. Wow! This campground checked all the boxes for me. Easily accessible water and bathrooms with flush toilets. The whole campground is in pine forest with hemlock, maple, and beech mixed in. Each site was large and flat but still completely shaded. There were no designated tent “pads” but the whole site was covered in sand/fine gravel. Firewood for sale at the camp host. Showers available in the “soft” loop. The picnic tables are HUGE! We camped in the “hard” loop and it was mostly empty, even on a weekend. Lovely spot, we will definitely return! Just make sure to bring bug spray, the mosquitos were abundant and aggressive.

  2. Great location easy to find just a few miles from I93. Refreshing sparkling clean swimming not even a mile away. A little road noise at times. Very minimal road noise at night. Clean restroom and showers. Nice friendly staff. Will definitely be back.

  3. Rangers barged into my camp site at 10 o’clock night to try and collect payment for the site. My 6 year old son and Were asleep and were waken by the rude rangers and there flashlights shining into our pop up camper. Scared my son and I how would i have know they were rangers or some weirdos camping here. I knew it was a self pay process. I wasn’t sure if we were going to stay one or 2 nights. So yes I hadn’t payed yet. One night it is and never again would I stay here. All you hear is cars driving by and not to mention a giant RV with a generator ran all night about 20 feet in the next site over. I’m very disappointed in all this. I read other reviews and it seams like rude rangers is a pattern. Wish I could give a no star review!!
